Coach Risto Vidakovic is hoping for a good home crowd when Ceres-Negros faces Becamex Binh Duong Wednesday night in their final match of the group stage of the AFC Cup.
Though the Busmen have already qualified for the next round , the coach believes that the home crowd can give an extra boost for them to finish strong in the elimination round.
“I hope the fans will come tomorrow and watch because we don’t have any pressure for the game,” said Vidakovic. “As I said before, I don’t like these kind of matches without pressure because we need some it in the games. We need to be prepared, focused, and maybe a little bit nervous also before the game,” he added.
The home squad will also have the chance to make an ASEAN Zone record if they finish unbeaten or even undefeated in the group stages. A record that would be more impressive given that they are in what is considered the group of death in the zone.
Vidakovic hopes that the continued home support will be the x-factor similar to the first two home games which allowed the team to dictate their winning run in the competition.
“We had a good crowd in our last game here and I hope everyone will come tomorrow to enjoy. We will give everything tomorrow, we will play offensive football, and we will try to score goals in this important game. If the crowd comes, it will be much better,” the Ceres mentor added.
Kickoff for the match is set at 8PM at the Panaad Stadium with tickets available at the bleachers gates starting at 530PM. The match will be shown live on TV via 5PLUS and Fox Sports and will be streamed live via the ESPN5 YouTube channel.
