Schröck geared up for ACL debut

Stephan Schröck is armed and ready when Ceres-Negros starts its campaign in the AFC Champion’s League Preliminaries Tuesday night. Schröck and company will take on Myanmar league winners Shan United in Yangon for a place on the next round of the competition.
“I’m excited, proud to represent the Philippine side in this AFC (Champions League) playoff game and I’m looking forward for the first 90 minutes of the season,” said the former German league player.

“Im very positive we’ll make a good result here in Myanmar. We just had a few training sessions but the core of the team is still the same. We just maybe need some few reminders about our style, the way we wanna play,” he added.

Ceres-Negros had a short break from the last season but the players including Schrock have been doing their part to stay fit for the ACL match. “Fitness level must be there, since we had some homework to do in the holidays,” said Schröck.

The Ceres star came back from the break in top form which showed his true dedication in the task ahead. “I didn’t come here just to do a good performance, I want to go to the next round,”  he added.
