OJ Porteria scored vital goals in his return to PFL action Wednesday night to power his side to a 2-0 win over Stallion Laguna.
The attacking midfielder was awarded the man of the match award after scoring a goal in two halves to give his team another three points in the standings.
Though regarded as the most valuable player of the match, the 24-year old praised his teammates for the hard-earned victory against a determined Laguna side.
“Im just very proud of the boys for bringing in a good shift in today because as you know, we lost last game,” said Porteria. “It could have been anyone today to be man of the match because I think every single person played well tonight,” he added.
The winger who was given a red card in last Saturday’s match against JPV and was unavailable in their 2-0 loss against the Japanese-flavored side.
“I wasn’t able to help the team previously because of my suspension and I wanted to give them something extra today,” said Porteria.
Though bagging his second consecutive brace against the Laguna side, the former DC United youth player was more delighted in getting three points in their quest for their second straight PFL title.
“I’m happy with the win and I’m happy that we could move forward,” he added
