Ceres-Negros FC hosts JPV Marikina for the first time this season with the first of two consecutive matches on June 20 at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
It will be the fourth meeting of the two sides in the Philippines Football League with mixed results for the two clubs.
The Busmen overpowered the Japanese flavored side in their first two meetings scoring three goal wins early in the season.
It was however different in the last match as JPV fought for a 1-1 draw in a highly physical match that saw Manny Ott sent to the hospital because of a dangerous elbow to the face.
Marikina’s Ryuki Kozawa scored the opener but Patrick Reichelt forced the equalizer that saw both teams sharing the spoils.
JPV is currently in fifth place with 10 points from 13 matches while Ceres is on top with 32 points in the league.
Kickoff is set at 7pm at the stadium with free admission given to all areas. The match can be viewed via livestream at PFLtv.ph.
