Ceres Coach Risto Vidakovic believes that his team has what it takes to reach their second consecutive ASEAN final when they face Yangon United in Wednesday’s semifinal.
The busmen flew to Yangon two days removed from their league match versus Kaya and preparation wasn’t sufficient for the Negros squad
“We didn’t have enough time to prepare the game because we played in the league on Wednesday so we will try our best tomorrow,” he added.
Despite less than ideal conditions leading to the second leg, the Ceres mentor believes that the team is equipped for the big challenge tomorrow.
“I think the motivation to get to the finals is enough. We have been together for a long time and I think my team already knows how to play,” said the Spanish-Serbian mentor.
Experience will be a big factor in tomorrow’s knockout match and the former La Liga player has faith that his team will deliver and claim a spot in the final.
“I think the question tomorrow is if they give their best and I don’t have any doubts about that. Because I believe in my players and I think they will do everything to win the game,” Vidakovic added.
The second leg of the ASEAN semifinals kicks off on Wednesday, 5PM (PH time) and will be seen live via Fox Sports (1).
