Younghusband completes midyear signings for Ceres-Negros

Former Philippines Captain James Joseph Younghusband has signed for Philippine Champions Ceres-Negros in the final day of the transfer window last August 15, 2019.

The former Davao and Loyola player joins the new batch of new players in Takashi Odawara, Robert Lopez Mendy, and greenhorns in Charles Ivan Barberan and Tristan Kit Robles.

The Azkals centurion returns to competitive football after featuring for the team last January in the AFC Asian Cup.

“I’m very excited to be back especially I know most of the ball from the national team,” said the veteran player who has a century of caps for the Azkals.

“I know most of the staff and have good relationships and I’m excited to get playing again. Being involved in every way I can and no better way than with a club like Ceres-Negros,” Younghusband added.

The 32-year old will add plenty of experience to the squad in their quest for a third straight Philippines Football League title.
