Omid Nazari is no stranger to final matches. Last year he helped Global FC in the final of the UFL Cup where they beat Ceres for what was the first of a rare double.
Now that the Sweden-born Filipino is with Ceres-Negros, the midfielder relishes the chance to feature against his former club in an all-important match. “It feels good,” said Nazari. “I’m excited to have a chance to win another trophy here in the Philippines.”
The former Malmo player has one eye on the goal but has another over his former team who has shown their quality in tough situations.
“Whenever it counts, you always see them perform. You saw them in the final against Albiirex where they played a tight game against them. When it matters they will try find a way,” Nazari added.
“Its just for us to go out there and enjoy and play our game. Hopefully, if we do that, we can bring the title to Bacolod,” said the versatile midfielder believes that his team. “I feel ready now. The team feels ready so its gonna be fun.”
