Ceres-La Salle FC succumbed to a second half surge by DPMM Brunei to lose 2-3 in the RHB Singapore Cup quarterfinals second leg, but still qualified to the semis after finishing with a 5-3 aggregate score.
Stephan Shröck scored the opener in the 16th minute and was followed by Bienvenido Marañon’s goal in the 53rd which pushed the aggregate score to 5-0. DPMM pulled one back a minute later with a goal by Shahrazen and an equalizer in the 63rd from Ramazotti. The Bruneian squad scored the winner in the 90th minute with a goal from Sergio.
The 3-0 cushion in the first leg was decisive as it allowed the Bacolod squad some breathing space throughout the match. They will face AFC Cup rival Tampines Rovers in the semi-finals.
